We were so happy with the building process. The selection of materials, colours, lighting etc. was so organized and made the process go so smooth. The extra care and time taken by the employees and sub-contractors were impressive as they worked to make each deadline. HOME WARRANTY
New homes built in BC are protected by 2-5-10 home warranty insurance, as set out by the Homeowner Protection Act of BC. Licensed residential builders are regulated by the B.C. Housing Licensing & Consumer Services. HKR Builders Ltd Home Warranty coverage is through National Home Warranty.
Mandatory warranty insurance includes the following coverages:
2-year warranty on materials and labour
- 12 months’ coverage for defects in material and labour for your unit
- 24 months’ coverage for defects in material and labour for major systems (heating, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
5-year building envelope warranty
- 5 years’ coverage on the building envelope, including coverage on unintended water penetration
10-year structural defects warranty
- 10 years’ coverage on major structural items
This statutory protection is widely recognized as one of the strongest and most effective home warranty standards in Canada.
